What is Bridgecall?
Bridgecall is a video call with a live translator built in. The host starts a call in the browser, shares one link, and each person speaks and hears their own language. The translation is spoken out loud and shown as captions.
Does the other person need an account or an app?
No. The guest opens the link on a phone or computer, picks the language they speak, and joins. No download, no account, no card.
Which languages does Bridgecall support?
More than 50 spoken languages, including English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Arabic, Hindi, Russian, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, German, French, Italian, Polish and Turkish. Each person chooses their own language before joining.
How does the translation work?
Your speech is transcribed as you talk, translated with the last few lines of the conversation as context so pronouns and tone survive, and spoken in the other language by a natural voice. The other person hears the translation about a second after you finish a sentence and can read it as a caption.
Can the translation use my own voice?
Yes. On the Daily and Always On plans you can record a short sample once, and the translated speech is spoken in a voice that sounds like you.
What devices work?
Any modern browser: Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android, and Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox on a computer. There is also a Bridgecall app for iPhone and Android for hosts who prefer it. Guests never need the app.
How much does it cost?
Plans are monthly and priced by how many translated minutes you use, starting at $29 a month for 300 minutes. Every plan starts with a 7-day trial. The guest side is always free.
Is Bridgecall the same as Tolk?
No. Bridgecall translates calls between people in different places. Tolk is our iPhone app for conversations in the same room: it listens hands-free and speaks the translation out loud. Bridgecall runs in the browser; Tolk is an app.
Is it a phone call or a video call?
A video call in the browser, with the camera optional. Bridgecall does not dial phone numbers. Both people open the same link.
What is Bridgecall not built for?
Legal, medical or other high-stakes conversations, where a qualified human interpreter is the right choice. Bridgecall is built for everyday calls where fast, practical understanding matters: family, partners, relocation, work and support conversations.
